Browser Internal

The Browser Internal channel provides the in-app chat interface for logged-in users. When enabled on an assistant, admin and staff users can chat with it directly through TeamWeb AI’s web UI.

Configuration

No external configuration is needed — this channel simply gates access to the built-in chat interface.

  1. Go to the assistant detail page and open the Channels tab
  2. Click on Browser Internal
  3. Enable the channel
  4. Set the Access Control to the user types that should have access (Admin, Staff, or both)

Access Rules

  • Admin users can chat with any assistant that has Browser Internal enabled
  • Staff users can only chat with assistants they’ve been assigned to and that have Browser Internal enabled with Staff in the allowed user types

If the Browser Internal channel is disabled on an assistant, no one can chat with it through the web UI (other channels like email, Slack, and Telegram still work independently).

Features

The internal chat interface includes:

  • Full message history with markdown rendering
  • Canvas cards for visual content
  • Voice chat (if WebRTC is also enabled)
  • Typing indicator with animated bubble
  • Timeout warning after 60 seconds of processing
  • End chat button to close a session
  • Per-message thumbs up/down feedback (if configured)
  • Post-session feedback form (if configured)
  • New chat button to start fresh conversations
